Durkac Karting - Florida Winter Tour

Sudbury, Ontario's Derek Demers, Senior Rotax driver, will be contesting in the 2009 Florida Winter Tour with S.R.A. Karting, International Arrow kart Canadian distributor, and the Durkac Karting Arrow Team.

The Florida Winter Tour is one of the longest running and largest kart racing series in the world. With 630 entries per month, including drivers from 23 countries, 24 U.S. states and 6 Canadian provinces.

After a very successful season in '08 with multiple wins and a Senior Rotax championship, Derek Demers will be starting his 2009 kart racing season at Homestead Miami Kart Club speedway, driving the new ARROW KART X1 chassis in the Senior Rotax class. The team will be spending a week of testing at the Homestead kart track on the new Arrow X1 package. He will be racing Race #1 on Saturday, January 10 and Race #2 Sunday, January 11.

Also coming from Australia, Bart Price who is Arrow Racing Karts research and development manager, and David Sera, Senior Light Rotax National Champion, will be there as factory technical support for all Arrow drivers in S.R.A. Karting pit area. This will give Derek unlimited access to all factory support during testing and race days.
