November 17, 2009 (ekartingnews.ca) Durkac Karting - 2009 ReviewDurkac Karting Arrow Karts 2009 summer tour racing season has come to an end as Durkac Karting reflects back on an outstanding 2009 season. Dylan & Tyler Brady raced in the Sudbury Kart Club Series and the Brian Stewart Racing Karting Championship Series this year. The Bradys added a new experience to their racing program this year, Dylan racing a Rotax Micro Max and Tyler in a Rotax Mini Max as well as continuing with Honda Novice and Junior classes. They had their work cut out for them, as they learned about the Rotax package. Don and Lynda Brady worked very hard all season, on three karts at every race day. This was a great accomplishment . Racing in the Sudbury Kart Club Novice class Dylan and his Arrow kart took five wins and two seconds in ten races. Dylan won the 2009 Novice Championship. Andrew Prescott had a very busy karting season. He raced in the BSRKC in Junior Medium, Junior Heavy Honda and Junior Rotax classes. Andrew and his Dad Carl worked very hard all year long. Andrew raced at Shannonville's Motorsport Park at the Ontario Grand Nationals in Junior Pro 6.5 Honda. Working hard at practice to get the perfect set up for race day paid off. Andrew qualified sixth, finished the prefinal fourth. What an exciting final, with a competitive class. This made it a very close race. Finishing third was a awesome result! Also Andrew Prescott 'The Car Lot Etc' Arrow Kart won the Sudbury Kart Club Junior 2009 Championship and Rookie of the Year.  2009 Champions Sudbury Kart Club's Sylvain Coursol and his Dad were very happy by getting the fastest time of the year 31.26 on his Arrow kart in the Senior Honda class. His brother Martin also was awarded the most improved driver in the Senior Honda class. Gaston and his sons worked hard all year long, achieving many podium finishes. Senior Rotax driver Derek Demers had an outstanding year on his Arrow kart. The year his racing program started out in January in Homstead, Florida in the Florida Winter Tour Senior Rotax class. In a very accomplished field of karts Derek and his Arrow kart X1 finished an awesome second in the B main final. Racing in the Sudbury Kart Club, Senior Rotax class Derek and his Arrow kart achieved eight victories in ten races. Derek also won the Sudbury Kart Club 2009 Senior Rotax Championship! Derek has won back to back '08 and '09 Championships in Senior Rotax. Derek also raced in the Senior Heavy Honda class in Sudbury. He had a great year being very consistent all year long. He did an outstanding job finishing second in Senior Honda. Durkac Karting is extremely proud of all their customer's outstanding performances and achievements this past karting season. What an accomplishment to have four drivers Novice, Junior, Senior and Senior Rotax win four SUDBURY KART CLUB Championships BACK TO BACK in 2008 and 2009 on ARROW KARTS!
